I was born in England but currently live in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada. I came to Canada many years ago and raised my two sons here.

I have dabbled with painting in watercolours for years and owned a custom picture framing shop for a few years. My profession was accounting until I was sidelined by Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue. When one door closes the Universe always opens another one ... now I make beads.... I play with fire every day and I have never been happier.

My main hobby was always stitching which was shared by my daughter-in-law Marie. I was introduced to beading about five years ago by Marie who, when I went to visit her in Victoria, said "Come and see what our new obsession will be." I beaded all of the way home to Vancouver on the ferry and have not stopped since. Thanks Marie!

As I said before, the Universe always provides for you if you believe. I was taught to Lampwork by a good friend of mine, Irene.... She did not realise what she had unleashed! Within two months I was selling my beads and incorporating them into my jewellery projects.

I started listing my beads on JustBeads.com and was honoured to be chosen as JustBeads' "Featured Artist" for May 2006. It was an exciting month for me and I was lucky enough to meet some interesting people online who are really supportive of my work.

I have been fortunate to meet people in the beading community who have been very generous with their help and advice. I would like to thank the following people.
